Enjoying the variety of different fruits with a relatively cheap price would have been fun. This is sometimes only time we usually encounter in the fruit is in season or fruit harvest. Moreover we can pick them yourself from the trees. Wow…it is fun.
At the end of this year, in south Kalimantan fruit was so abundant. From the durian fruit popular with fragrance, Cempedak, duku, rambutan with red hair, mangosteen was also emerging, not least again Kapuland Kasturi fruit as the endemic of Borneo fruit also fruitful.

Pampakin, the twins from the Durian fruit was at the end of November is starting to show it in the marketplace and fruit merchant. Unlike the Durian fruit has soft flesh-colored and foul-smelling milk, meat Pampakin have orange or slightly reddish, odorless not prominent and no soft flesh.
Cempedak has similar with the jackfruit and local called Tiwadak. Contour and skin texture is very similar to jackfruit. It's just a little fruit-shaped Cempedak is oval. This fruit has diameter of about 12cm to 23 cm). Cempedak fruit considered by the local community is very helpful because in addition to fruit can be eaten directly, the fruit is processed into fried cakes called Guguduh Tiwadak. The seeds are usually boiled and eaten as they contain carbohydrates at a time when relaxed and it felt like tubers. Skin of the fruit flesh parts made Cempedak south Borneo community vegetable or side dish instead of eating known as Mandai.

Duku or local designation is Langsat is one fruit which is also fruitful in the end of this year. Duku tree is not like rambutan tree that has been cultivated by grafting, but more duku grows wild in the forests of the people or areas that are rather high. Duku fruit was known in South Kalimantan is complexioned headland. The shape and fruit color is a bit different from other types of Duku. Color when ripe red looks a bit like a line at the bottom of the Duku. The shape is slightly bigger and slightly thicker skin. Sweetness was more prominent than the other Duku.

Also end of the year could be the right choice because you will probably see people doing agricultural activities in the fields or the slope of the hill and if you are paired will have the opportunity to witness the process aruh customary or traditional party in the interior.
