Generally, Banjarese language divided into two sub languages are Banjar Kuala language and Banjar Hulu language. The native speakers of Banjar Kuala consist from Banjarmasin city and surround, Banjar regency, Barito Kuala regency, a part of Tanah Laut regency. Either Banjar Hulu native speakers based from Tapin, Hulu Sungai Selatan, Hulu Sungai Tengah, Hulu Sungai Utara, Balangan and Tabalong.

In a part of South Borneo area used the language that mixed with other language such as some of Barito Kuala People that influenced by Bakumpai Language. Banjarmasin, Banjarbaru and Pelaihari are influenced by Java, Sunda and Indonesian languages. Either from Tanah Bumbu and Kotabaru is influenced by Bugis language and Indonesian.

Although in usually Banjarese language comes into two, but in real life every regional (especially in Hulu Sungai area) has grown of differences language neither from vocabulary nor accent which are different. The Accent between regency become differ caused by something, one of them is intonation they used.
